| To enhance the unveiling of the 2007
Lollapalooza lineup, we created an online
experience to enlighten and excite fans
before the festival kicked off. Our
solution – PaloozaHead, a website
that invites fans to hit the stage then
post their performance to their website.
PaloozaHead continues Lollapalooza's
tradition of bringing diverse fans
and bands together by allowing visitors
to mash a performer that represents
their varied tastes. Visitors can
select from numerous outfit combinations,
choose a rock star's face or upload
their own, pick a crazy dance, and
select a song, from over 75 available
tracks from the 2007 Lollapalooza
lineup, to back their performance.
The dances are based on signature
rock star moves and have names like:
The Gibson Getdown, Keytar Star, and
Okay-a-go-go. After hitting the stage
and rocking out, visitors are encouraged
to share their performance on their
MySpace or website by copying embed
code.
The site was an instant hit generating
170MM views in the sixteen weeks prior
to the festival with over 1.2MM PaloozaHeads
created. Of those PaloozaHeads, 670K
(56%) were embedded in user's MySpace
profiles, personal blogs, and websites.
