DESCRIPTION:
The Design Center is devoted to the promotion
and recognition of design, the Centre provides
a site for exhibitions. The Centre needed
a web site that would show the diversity
of its exhibitions and would also be a virtual
archives of all its activities since its
creation in 1981.
Graphically, the site
had to adapt to different exhibitions and
visual environment. My concept was to create
an almost invisible interface that would
reveal the visual. Based on elegance and
simplicity, the key words were functionality
and flexibility. The approach was minimalist
and proposed a design based on CSS that
could easily go from very funky to very
classic. The whole site was created in Flash
MX 2004, using a XML data base connected
to a CMS that allows adaptive changes in
terms of text, color, images and design
for each exhibition.
