DESCRIPTION:
Sharp tapped R/GA to create a global branding
site for its line of AQUOS Liquid Crystal
televisions. The site’s purpose is
to increase awareness of the Sharp AQUOS
brand among U.S. consumers, position Sharp
as the leader in LCD technology, and fulfill
the brand’s promise that, with a Sharp
AQUOS, there’s always more to see.
The site also needed to help the target
audience, comprised of enthusiasts in technology,
design, entertainment and/or sports, make
informed decisions on purchasing a flat
panel television.
Guests to moretosee.com
are presented with premium design and experiential
navigation that instills an elevated brand
presence and invites site exploration. Upon
entering the site, guests are greeted with
a Flash introduction that brings to life
the look and feel of the offline “Stage”
campaign created by Wieden & Kennedy.
Users view beautiful imagery of iconic sports
and cultural venues empty and quiet on what
we can imagine is the eve of an historic
event. The Web site intro echoes the offline
campaign by asking visitors to consider
“with so much more to see, shouldn’t
you be watching it on the AQUOS Liquid Crystal
Television from Sharp?”
As the intro fades away, the home page
reveals a prominently featured AQUOS television,
with four callouts to the site’s major
sections: Performance, Design, Vision and
Media. Underneath each section header are
thumbnails that rollover to present the
section’s featured items. Guests can
navigate either this way, or once they click
on a section, they can explore the site
with arrows outside a window of content.
This intuitive navigation invites users
to explore the site in a fun,

"This site
had many great aspects like clean
design and great interactivity. The
roll overs were very effective and
the menu bar/drop downs were great.
Made the site very easy to navigate.
The site had a great display of type
in the philosophy section."
"The integration of Flash is
seamless and effective. it really
ads a whole new level to the interactivity
and allows the user to actually "explore"
the product and its features." |
