DESCRIPTION:
Code and Theory was approached by Atari
Inc and Ecko Unltd to create the website,
marketing materials, in-game interface design
and manual designs for the upcoming release
of their new game, Getting Up. The challenge
of the site was to create a compelling destination
to provide news, trailers, and info about
the unknown game.
The result was an immersive
experience blurring the lines between photography
and video. The site’s content was
localized in 6 different languages and is
fully dynamically updateable through the
custom Content Management System Code and
Theory created. Atari was able to instantly
update and add to the content as it became
available from its developers.

"The site
had a wonderful combination of video,
photography and illustration that
really made the design of this site
stand out with a fresh approach. The
music selection was on target for
the look and feel of the site. I loved
the roll overs of the images that
actually moved the image around. Great
interactivity. Plus, for the information
involved, the site loaded quickly
and it was pretty easy to navigate.
The graffiti section was great. I
normally don’t get moved by
sites like this but this one was amazing
design wise. An entire Gestalt! I
have to appreciate that!" |
