DESCRIPTION:
All of the content was gathered by students
and the site was designed, programmed and
constructed by students. It is a documentary
that examines the changing culture of the
ancient region of Galicia in the northwest
corner of Spain. Forty students, from three
univeristies, gathered in the region for
a month-long project class with the goal
of documenting ancient and changing ways
of live in this region that is seeing the
end of the family farm, the sea-faring way
of life, ancient monasteries and small towns
that have been inhabited by generations
of ancestral families. Within the region
is Santiago de Campostela, the site of the
climax of the annual religious pilgrimmage
across northern Spain and site of the largest
Galicia day celebrations.

by the executive producer of the project
